Chel River, a small stream emerged from a remotest village named Badhey in Rachela Wild Life Sanctuary, is converted into river called Chel. Sombarey, a small sub-divisional town in Gorubathan is located in the banks of river Chel. Chel is one of famous picnic spot famously known as Fagu Picnic Spot and tourist place in North Bengal.
